SAFER project is playing an active role in the 10th edition of Business2Sea, the international event that takes place from 16th to 20th of November 2020. Due to the current travel restrictions, this international event dedicated to facilitate interaction among people and organizations and to promote projects and businesses within the marine economy will be fully virtual.
Included in the Business2Sea programme, SAFER is organising a workshop on Wednesday 18th November (11:30 – 13:00 CET)
. The workshop will showcase the pilots implemented and tested during the SAFER project on a limited number of companies, now ready to be extended and reach a wider target group of recipients.

Business2Sea is co-organised by SAFER project partner Fórum Oceano – Associação da Economia do Mar, which is responsible for fostering the Portuguese Maritime Cluster, and Centro Tecnológico del Mar – Fundación CETMAR, based on Galicia (Spain). The event will comprise a diverse programme, addressing the Blue Economy and the European Green Deal as main topics, and gathering blue stakeholders from around the World.
In the current context, this thematic assumes a significant relevance, especially because all the countries in the World and, in particular Europe is defining strategies and setting the basis for the economic recovery of all the sectors, including Blue Economy, focusing on sustainability and energy transition.
Interreg Atlantic Area Annual event
SAFER is funded by the Atlantic Area Programme which this year Interreg celebrates 30 years! The Interreg Atlantic Area Annual event was due to take place in Bordeaux, hosted by the French Presidency of the Programme in 2020, but considering to the current situation and restrictions, for the first time it will be entirely online on the 18th November 2020, from 14:00 to 16:30 (Lisbon time). As part of the 30th celebration, together with partners, they want to show and highlight the best that is being done for the benefit of the Atlantic regions and their citizens.
