Watch SAFER project partner Údarás na Gaeltachta video about the implementation of the FlowM System developed by Foodintech at the Irish Fish Canners
Interreg Atlantic Area funded SAFER project partner Údarás na Gaeltachta created a video  about the implementation of the Flow Manufacturing System developed by our Portuguese partner Foodintech at the Irish Fish Canners facilities in Donegal (Ireland).

Irish Fish Canners is the largest and only fish canning facility in Ireland, located along the “Wild Atlantic Way”. The Irish Fish Canners used to do all their stocktake, goods in and goods out and preparation of value added products manually with spreadsheets. This was an arduous task and the manual nature of the task could lead to errors in recording data.

With the Flow Manufacturing System (Manufacturing Execution System) Irish Fish Canners have an integrated system of software and hardware, designed for the control of production, quality, food safety, traceability, stock, picking and distribution.

With this IT solution for fish, shellfish, algae, processing industries will reduce the manual work input, the paper work and will avoid errors in recording data.
